Bond’s Booze, Bang, and Body Count
After facing constant rejection, Daniel Craig wonders where the next drink is coming from.
It’s a common structure film-goers know by heart: the ultra-sexy and über-sleek secret agent James Bond ventures to some exotic land, kills a couple insidious fellows, climbs into bed with the local goddess, and makes sure to stop at the bar before he heads out of town. The Economist (of course) put together some stats on the average number of times each of the six Bonds killed, shagged, and drank in the films.
Pierce Brosnan made out with the most kills with around 19 per film, while the less prolific George Lazenby scored around three Bond babes per film. Daniel Craig, the most-recent Bond, hasn’t been all that successful with the kills or the ladies, but that’s a fact he makes up for by drinking the most.
Sean Connery, like a real gentleman, enjoyed all things in moderation.
