Mobile photographers rejoice. Today at SXSW, Instagram co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger flashed the unreleased Android version of their popular image sharing application. Since December, there have been verified reports on the development of the Android app, but now we have clear indication that it does exist, and will be on its way to the Android Marketplace soon.
Systrom said, “It’s one of the most amazing Android apps you’ll ever see… in some ways, it’s better than our iPhone app.”
Instagram was marked “App of The Year,” by Apple in 2011. The service has over 27 million registered users, 67 percent of whom log in regularly.
In case you don’t yet have the app on iOS, download it right now.
