Strawberry Girls Post Dark, Sexy Version of “Call Me Maybe”

Funk-rock trio Strawberry Girls have released their cover of “Call Me Maybe”, and its certainly a unique take on Carly Rae Jepsen’s pop hit. This is a jazzed-up, sexed-up interpretation of the song that gives it a whole new spin. Driven by dark, ambient chords and the soulful crooning of ex-Dance Gavin Dance axeman Zachary Garren, the song is bolstered by a grooving rhythm section and the occasional interjection of Garren’s funky guitar licks.
