Watch: Carly Rae Jepsen, Jimmy Fallon, & the Roots Play “Call Me Maybe”

Have you heard Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” yet? Probably not. But The Airspace has been covering it in our journalistic way, while it seems like the nation has been covering it musically.

Hitting the internet today is a video of Carly Rae and the Roots crew, along with Late Night host Jimmy Fallon, playing the song with classroom instruments. It gets crowded, but it’s fantastic. And the looks on some of the Roots’ faces are priceless.

The beauty of the entire scene is that the original song’s magic lies in its simplicity and innocence. The classroom setting magnifies this aspect and makes it even more fun. And Questlove gets funky with a last second kazoo solo.
